A great, original SF story. Short, with action to keep you engaged. But also intellectually stimulating. I could easily see this becoming a movie. My only criticism is in the formatting of this e-book, as the first letter of the first word after a section break is always missing. But I could always figure out what was intended.Product details

good story from a grand master. Simak is the best. If you are new to his work, please check out more of it.
Highly enjoyable science fiction, cannot believe this was a free kindle book. Looking forward to reading more books by Simak.
The interesting story would have me do five stars, but some of the words were missing letters, making it a little hard to read. Other than at it was perfect.☺
I really like it.
Twilight Zone in a book. Every time I read Clifford Simak it's like reading a TZ episode. If you like Rod Serling and TZ then I recommend anything Simak writes including this short story.

Good example of Simak's story telling. Ends well, but not all that predictable. Not a brainless "happily ever after" ending. A good example of Simak when he was hitting his stride. Worth reading.
